How Purna Veer Grew V-Soft Consulting Beyond Its Original Service
V-Soft Consulting began in IT staffing and services. Under founder Purna Veer, the Louisville company expanded into work including artificial intelligence, data and analytics, and digital consulting. Its history offers a useful look at how a business can grow beyond the services that got it started.
The Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame will recognize Veer as a member of its Class of 2026.
From engineering to a Louisville business
Veer was born in Kodad and earned a master’s degree in environmental engineering at Texas A&M. He went on to build his entrepreneurial career in Louisville, where V-Soft remains headquartered.
The company’s original focus on IT staffing and services gave it a starting position in the technology industry. Its later work broadened that offer, adding capabilities for businesses seeking help with data, software, and other technology needs.
For a service-business founder, that shift is worth examining. Adding a new service changes what you promise customers and what your team needs to know. Growth is partly a question of whether the organization can deliver the work it wants to win.
V-Soft’s expansion has included acquisitions such as Logisolve. Acquiring an established business is one way to add experience and capabilities, alongside developing them within the existing team.
Building across Kentucky industries
Technology is only part of Veer’s business activity in Kentucky. His interests also include Skylight Stables, Veering Creek Farm, and Tandoori Fusion, connecting him to equestrian activities, agriculture, and hospitality.
Those ventures give his career a local dimension that a description of V-Soft alone would miss. Alongside the technology company’s global work are businesses rooted in Kentucky’s farms, restaurants, and equestrian community.
For Kentucky founders, Veer’s career offers an example of building an international business from a Louisville base. It also shows how a founder’s work can branch into industries that people experience much closer to home.
His Hall of Fame recognition brings those parts of his career together: the technology business he founded and his wider investment in Kentucky.
Purna Veer will join John Neace, Ervin Houchens and Roger Griggs in the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026.
