Mission Accomplished! 

When we started our first Bootcamp cohort in 2016 we were filling a much-needed gap in education allowing career switchers to radically change their career trajectory. We knew our community’s employers were having a hard time finding quality candidates to join their teams because our sister company, APAX Software, was feeling it too. We have taught nearly 200 people how to code and we’ve rang the success bell countless times as our alumni secured their first job after bootcamp.

We’ve been privileged to see many of our alumni ascend the ranks at their companies and turn back to the bootcamp as a pipeline for their growing teams. Alumni have even started their own companies and hired other bootcampers to level up their service to clients. In our nine years and 17 cohorts, we’ve repeatedly seen people smile and shout as they finally figured out that bug and launched their app.

The Awesome Inc Web Development Bootcamp program has provided life-changing careers with an average salary lift of $20,000 in one year, and a $1.9 million difference over their remaining working lifetime. Many learners found us as they watched their friends or family undergo training and start their new careers in the tech industry. They were drawn to their increased confidence and joy in their new career satisfaction.

As we look to the future- the absence of entry level talent is no longer a threat to the success of companies in Greater Lexington; the Awesome Inc U Bootcamp has been a key player in solving that pain point! So we are now transitioning out of entry-level bootcamp training and turning our attention to the areas that do need training, upleveling and support. We will be partnering with local and regional organizations who need support as they try to do more with less and harness the strength of upcoming technologies like LLM and AI.

We are grateful to the community that allowed us and our students to be a part of their success story, and we are excited for the future partnerships that will allow us all to elevate the tech community in Greater Lexington!

To thank all of our students, community partners, and to celebrate our collective wins through the innovative Bootcamp program, we would like to welcome you on October 15th for a banner raising event at Awesome Inc. We will begin serving lunch at 12:00pm and then will transition to a ceremony and banner raising at 12:45pm. This event is open to any Bootcamp alumni (and their families) as well as any employer who has benefited from our Bootcamp over the past 10 years. The ceremony should last about 15 minutes.
