CLIK, an Owensboro-based start-up, recently won the Awesome Inc 5-Across pitch competition in Lexington. The company impressed judges and the audience with its innovative device that simplifies the installation of ceiling lights and fans. CLIK will now compete in the finals in December for a chance to win more investment.

“Winning this competition is not only a tremendous honor but validates our efforts,” said Scott Norris, CEO of CLIK.

Vice President of Operations Chris Castlen and Vice President of Business Development Helen Bennett represented CLIK at the event and highlighted the product’s potential to simplify home lighting installation.

Norris said he designed the CLIK device to make installing ceiling and wall lights or ceiling fans quicker and safer. With experience in home construction and renovation, he developed the idea after facing challenges with traditional installation methods.
