How did you spend your time this past weekend? One of our Awesome Inc Team Alpha interns, Drake Witt, spent his weekend at a hackathon writing an iPhone app that helps teachers monitor cell phone use during class - learn more here. He’s 16. He competed against (primarily) college students and won the Best Solo Project Award.
Drake said he had a blast at the event.
“I’d never been to a hackathon… I met lots of cool people there, and I now realized the depth of Kentucky’s Computer Science community.”
Congrats to Drake for spending his weekend doing something awesome!
The UK CatHacks event is an annual event produced by the UK Computer Science Club. CatHacks is a 24 hour hackathon where participants code software projects of their choice.
